Valse in A flat major Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Metric propulsion relies on 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), giving the piece a steady common-time pulse providing natural rhythmic symmetry across four quarter-note subdivisions. Set to a metronome speed of ♩ = 99 BPM (*Andantino*), the overall character feels moderately flowing with clear articulation. Pianists should ensure that they channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

Valse in A flat major, credited to Womeo Sharpjoe, occupies an established chapter within the contemporary pop piano repertory. this 6-page transcription spans 112 measures, drawing from verified performance editions and modern engravings. Rights records link the piece to ISWC `T-763.F2F.AA-1` and bibliographic identifier `mbid-763f2faa-pianistforum`.

Pedagogically suited for Advanced students (conservatory diploma level (ABRSM/RCM Grade 8 or Associate)), this piece develops essential touch control. Key challenges focus on balancing complex polyphonic textures, negotiating rapid register shifts, and sustaining virtuosic momentum. In sections with broken arpeggio figures and modern pulse chords, maintain flexible forearm rotation to prevent stiffness. Pedaling requirement: feather the pedal to sustain bass notes without drowning upper textures. Technical Drill: isolate the polyphonic layers by singing one voice aloud while playing remaining lines pianissimo.

Cast in G Major (a single sharp (F♯)), the composition organizes its melodic arcs around G. Dynamic tension arises from modulatory motion toward the relative mode of E Minor, balanced by harmonic stabilization from C Major. Harmonically, the progression G → Am → F → Dm → G7 concludes with a questioning dominant pivot that commands forward continuation. For the performer, this layout is characterized by a resonant acoustic register with F♯ serving as a natural tactile guidepost for the right hand.
