Valse in E minor Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

The score Valse in E minor, composed by Juliano Plastina, reflects the stylistic idioms of the modern pop keyboard selections. Targeted at Intermediate players (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), this score presents rewarding interpretive and tactile hurdles. Attention should center on projecting the cantabile soprano melody while suppressing inner accompaniment voices. Accompaniment passages containing flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks require subdued dynamics to spotlight the melody. Mechanically, coordinate pedaling with chord changes to maintain acoustic warmth. Practice Recommendation: play the melody forte while ghost-tapping the accompaniment keys silently beneath the surface.

Metric propulsion relies on 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), giving the piece a well-proportioned metric pulse alternating primary and secondary stresses across the measure. Set to a metronome speed of ♩ = 109 BPM (*Animato*), the overall character feels cheerful with buoyant rhythmic bounce. Pianists should ensure that they subdivide internally with relaxed forearm weight to prevent metric stiffness across bar lines.

With E Minor as the primary tonal anchor, the notation designates one sharp (F♯, with D♯ harmonic inflection). Phrase arches gravitate toward E, counterpointed by coloristic pivots into G Major and subdominant foundations in A Minor. Harmonically, the progression Em → Dm → G → C → F → E7 cycles smoothly through harmonic steps (F, E7) back toward the tonic. For the performer, this layout is characterized by an introspective minor landscape that asks for flexible wrist cushioning during expressive descents.

1. Recital Staging: This selection integrates smoothly into community music performances and versatile studio accompaniment.

2. Key Customization: Adapting the original E Minor setting is straightforward: lower tessituras find comfort in D Minor, whereas soprano instruments or solo flutes achieve singing resonance in F-sharp Minor.

3. Licensing Status: Released for educational instruction under `unknown`, assisting student rehearsal and harmonic analysis.
