Yearnings of the Wind Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

The piece operates in G Major, governed by a signature with a single sharp (F♯). This tonal center positions G as the primary acoustic anchor, while E Minor and the dominant D Major supply contrasting tonal colors. Harmonically, the progression G → Am → F → Dm → G7 suspends tension over an active dominant chord awaiting tonal release. Pianistically, the key produces a buoyant diatonic space where the elevated leading note F♯ gives melodic phrases an instinctive upward surge.

The score Yearnings of the Wind, composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, reflects the stylistic idioms of the popular pop sheet music repertoire. This edition contains 37 measures formatted across 2 pages, corroborated through accurate modern sheet transcriptions. Worldwide rights catalogs anchor this title under ISWC code `T-B94.1B9.6D-1`.

Targeted at Easy players (early-grades syllabus (ABRSM Grade 2 standard)), this score presents rewarding interpretive and tactile hurdles. Attention should center on executing clean thumb crossings beneath fingers two and three during scalar shifts. Accompaniment passages containing cinematic rolling bass sweeps and sustained chord foundations require subdued dynamics to spotlight the melody. Mechanically, feather the pedal to sustain bass notes without drowning upper textures. Recommended Exercise: rehearse hands individually with a metronome at slow speeds before coordinating hands together.

Rhythmic momentum flows through a 4/4 metric framework (simple quadruple meter). Calibrated to ♩ = 126 BPM (*Allegro*), the piece moves with a energetic, driving, and propelled pulse. As a practical study rule, channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for popular piano showcases, private lessons, and collaborative sessions.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: When adjusting the native tonality of G Major, accompanists can shift down a step to F Major for lower voice types or lift the melody into A Major for tenors and sopranos. Woodwinds read comfortably using D Major.

Licensing Information: Organized for studio learning under `unknown`, supporting keyboard technique drills and performance prep.
