The piece operates in C Major, governed by a signature with zero sharps and zero flats. This tonal center positions C as the primary acoustic anchor, while A Minor and the dominant G Major supply contrasting tonal colors. Harmonically, the musical line relies on fundamental triad relationships (F Major and G Major) around the tonic root. From a tactile perspective, navigating this key delivers an all-natural keyboard surface requiring firm curved finger knuckles to prevent sliding on ivory white naturals.

The rhythmic foundation is anchored in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), yielding a well-proportioned metric pulse alternating primary and secondary stresses across the measure. Paced at ♩ = 62 BPM (Andante maestoso), the tempo projects a unhurried with noble cantabile phrasing musical mood. To refine rhythmic clarity, listen for the overarching four-bar hypermeter to keep phrases singing rather than measure-bound.
