Randomness 2 Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Anchored in A Major, this work utilizes a key signature of three sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯). The composer builds structural coherence around A, deploying the relative pole (F-sharp Minor) to introduce tonal contrast before resolving through E Major. Harmonically, the progression A → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 pauses expressively on an open half-cadence, leaving harmonic expectation unresolved. Pianistically, the key produces a luminous harmonic atmosphere demanding balanced forearm weight distribution on wide melodic shifts.

Randomness 2, credited to Dlabihra, occupies an established chapter within the contemporary pop piano repertory. this 4-page transcription spans 75 measures, drawing from standard contemporary studio engravings. This Intermediate publication (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address achieving fluid finger legato without relying on the damper pedal to mask uneven key releases. Passages dominated by flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, refresh damper pedal depth synchronously with bass root changes. Practice Tip: drill awkward chord shifts at 60% tempo, ensuring fingers assume target hand shapes before descending.

Cast in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), the score delivers a balanced metric groundwork providing grounded stability with primary weight on beat one and secondary stress on beat three. At ♩ = 113 BPM (*Allegretto*), the musical progression remains moderately brisk, bright, and buoyant. Pedagogical directive: listen for the overarching four-bar hypermeter to keep phrases singing rather than measure-bound.
