Rainbow Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Pedagogically suited for Advanced students (senior concert repertoire level (RCM Grade 10 to Licentiate)), this piece develops essential touch control. Key challenges focus on refining subtle dynamic voicing across dense chords, executing octave cascades, and preventing hand cramping. In sections with contemporary broken triad ostinatos and resonant pedal points, maintain flexible forearm rotation to prevent stiffness. Pedaling requirement: refresh damper pedal depth synchronously with bass root changes. Study Routine: rehearse octave leaps with feather-light thumb releases, ensuring the arm propels the leap from the elbow. Score pointer: Emphasize the flowing compound-meter pulse by grouping notes naturally in two large beats per measure. Let the melody bloom through each phrase, using graduated.

The rhythmic foundation is anchored in 6/8 (compound duple meter), yielding an undulating barcarolle or gigue sway formed by two swinging groups of three eighth notes. Paced at ♩ = 80 BPM (Andante), the tempo projects a flowing at a graceful walking pace musical mood. To refine rhythmic clarity, maintain a relaxed wrist to allow the triplet subdivisions to roll like water.

Tonal grounding is defined by F Major, marked in the score by one flat (B♭). The music alternates stability on F with expressive harmonic excursions toward D Minor and its parallel relation, F Minor. Tonal construction prioritizes diatonic primary chords, balancing B-flat Major warmth against dominant C Major tension. In terms of hand topography, F Major yields a gentle diatonic layout with B♭ providing an anchor for rounded five-finger hand spans.

Attributed to Sia, Rainbow forms an integral entry in the popular pop sheet music repertoire. Laid out across 6 pages containing 120 measures, this score draws authenticity from standard contemporary studio engravings. Work tracking associates this edition with ISWC identifier `T-D36.EFE.18-1` and registry `mbid-d36efe18-pianistforum`. Contextual research indicates: "Rainbow" was released in 2017 for the My Little Pony: The Movie soundtrack and was performed in the film by Songbird Serenade, a character modeled after Sia. The song became espec.

When programming this selection, music educators frequently schedule Rainbow for contemporary vocal accompaniment, student recitals, and studio recordings. When adjusting the native tonality of F Major, accompanists can shift down a step to E-flat Major for lower voice types or lift the melody into G Major for tenors and sopranos. Woodwinds read comfortably using C Major. From an attribution perspective: Organized for studio learning under `unknown_needs_review`, supporting keyboard technique drills and performance prep.
