Framed in F Minor, the score establishes F through a key signature featuring four flats (B♭, E♭, A♭, D♭, with E♮ leading tone). Harmonic variety is enriched through dialogue with the relative minor/major (A-flat Major) alongside strong cadential support from C Major. Voice leading proceeds primarily through diatonic harmonic motion involving tonic, subdominant, and dominant degrees. Keyboardists will find that F Minor creates a somber tonal setting where wide chordal spans require flexible hand expansion.

The rhythmic foundation is anchored in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), yielding an authoritative quadruple framework where downbeat accents anchor the overarching phrase architecture. Paced at ♩ = 94 BPM (Tempo comodo), the tempo projects a composed with disciplined, graceful rhythm musical mood. To refine rhythmic clarity, channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for contemporary vocal accompaniment, student recitals, and studio recordings.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: When adjusting the native tonality of F Minor, accompanists can shift down a step to D-sharp Minor for lower voice types or lift the melody into G Minor for tenors and sopranos. Woodwinds read comfortably using C Minor.
