Problem Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Designed for Advanced level pianists (senior concert repertoire level (RCM Grade 10 to Licentiate)), this piece demands clean articulation and hand balance. The chief hurdle entails mastering nuanced rubato, synchronizing rapid arpeggiated passage work, and maintaining tonal polish under speed. Balancing contemporary broken triad ostinatos and resonant pedal points requires distinct volume separation between parts. Furthermore, feather the pedal to sustain bass notes without drowning upper textures. Practice Recommendation: rehearse octave leaps with feather-light thumb releases, ensuring the arm propels the leap from the elbow. Score pointer: Maintain a crisp rhythmic pulse in the left hand and articulate the recurring hook cleanly with finger precision rather than excessive pedal. Practice the synco.

The score Problem, composed by Ariana Grande, reflects the stylistic idioms of the contemporary pop piano repertory. This edition contains 156 measures formatted across 8 pages, corroborated through standard contemporary studio engravings. Worldwide rights catalogs anchor this title under ISWC code `T-7AF.08A.1B-1`. Curatorial documentation highlights: Released in 2014, 'Problem' featured Iggy Azalea and became one of Ariana Grande's breakthrough global hits from the My Everything era. The song blended pop and brass-driven produc.

Framed in C Minor, the score establishes C through a key signature featuring three flats (B♭, E♭, A♭, with B♮ raised leading tone). Harmonic variety is enriched through dialogue with the relative minor/major (E-flat Major) alongside strong cadential support from G Major. The chordal vocabulary centers upon stable tonic statements alternating with G Major pivots. Pianistically, the key produces a commanding acoustic realm with abrupt dynamic contrasts between minor darkness and major relief.

Operating within 4/4, this simple quadruple meter generates a steady common-time pulse providing natural rhythmic symmetry across four quarter-note subdivisions. The benchmark tempo of ♩ = 103 BPM (Andantino) conveys a moderately flowing with clear articulation sensibility. During execution, channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for community music performances and versatile studio accompaniment.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: The default key of C Minor suits standard instrumental ranges. Vocalists seeking a lower tessitura can transpose down to B-flat Minor, while high-register singers modulate up to D Minor. B♭ brass transpose to D Minor.
