Heart of Witch Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Heart of Witch highlights ReX's refined handling of musical materials in the modern pop keyboard selections. The complete engraving encompasses 78 measures across 4 pages, verified against accurate modern sheet transcriptions. Bibliographic registers identify this title under ISWC `T-E13.184.3F-1` and catalog entry `mbid-e131843f-pianistforum`.

Cast in A Major (three sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯)), the composition organizes its melodic arcs around A. Dynamic tension arises from modulatory motion toward the relative mode of F-sharp Minor, balanced by harmonic stabilization from D Major. Harmonically, the progression A → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 concludes with a questioning dominant pivot that commands forward continuation. For the performer, this layout is characterized by a luminous harmonic atmosphere demanding balanced forearm weight distribution on wide melodic shifts.

This Intermediate publication (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address achieving fluid finger legato without relying on the damper pedal to mask uneven key releases. Passages dominated by flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, execute full pedal clears at dynamic changes to highlight intimate moments. Technical Drill: drill awkward chord shifts at 60% tempo, ensuring fingers assume target hand shapes before descending.

Operating within 4/4, this simple quadruple meter generates a steady common-time pulse providing natural rhythmic symmetry across four quarter-note subdivisions. The benchmark tempo of ♩ = 71 BPM (Andante con moto) conveys a moving at a tranquil, forward-leaning pulse sensibility. During execution, subdivide internally with relaxed forearm weight to prevent metric stiffness across bar lines.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for popular piano showcases, private lessons, and collaborative sessions.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: Performers can shift the default tonality of A Major according to singer comfort: a downward transition to G Major reduces top-range vocal demands, while modulating to B Major enhances acoustic carrying power for solo recitals.
