FADED Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

FADED, credited to Alan Walker, occupies an established chapter within the popular pop sheet music repertoire. this 3-page transcription spans 64 measures, drawing from standard contemporary studio engravings. Rights records link the piece to ISWC `T-15B.165.1B-1` and bibliographic identifier `mbid-15b1651b-pianistforum`.

The piece operates in A Minor, governed by a signature with zero sharps and zero flats (with G♯ serving as raised harmonic seventh). This tonal center positions A as the primary acoustic anchor, while C Major and the dominant E Major supply contrasting tonal colors. Harmonically, the progression Am → Dm → G → C → F → E7 navigates expressive chord variations (F, E7) returning home cleanly. At the keyboard, A Minor provides a somber diatonic landscape where the G♯ accidental adds a sharp, poignant upward pull.

Operating within 6/8, this compound duple meter generates a rolling compound duple pulse that creates a swinging, wave-like physical sensation. The benchmark tempo of ♩ = 120 BPM (Allegro moderato) conveys a lively with energetic forward stride sensibility. During execution, preserve the gentle circular sway by letting beats two and three within each group lift naturally.

This Intermediate publication (mid-tier conservatory syllabus (ABRSM Grade 5 standard)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address projecting the cantabile soprano melody while suppressing inner accompaniment voices. Passages dominated by cinematic rolling bass sweeps and sustained chord foundations benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, refresh damper pedal depth synchronously with bass root changes. Practice Tip: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot.
