Alan Walker - Darkside Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Set within the harmonic domain of F-sharp Minor (three sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯, with E♯ leading tone)), the score secures tonal focus on F♯. Expressive depth is enhanced through secondary pivots into A Major and dominant reinforcement via C-sharp Major. Harmonically, the musical line relies on fundamental triad relationships (B Minor and C-sharp Major) around the tonic root. Physically, playing in this key offers an impassioned pitch center requiring exact finger measurement between the raised seventh and tonic note.

In 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), rhythmic continuity is shaped by a well-proportioned metric pulse alternating primary and secondary stresses across the measure. The reference performance speed is ♩ = 92 BPM (*Moderato grazioso*), yielding a stable with buoyant, relaxed momentum tempo profile. From a phrasing standpoint, subdivide internally with relaxed forearm weight to prevent metric stiffness across bar lines.

Assigned an overall Intermediate rating (mid-tier conservatory syllabus (ABRSM Grade 5 standard)), the composition exercises manual independence. The central obstacle centers on coordinating independent dynamic levels between hands while maintaining steady metric propulsion. In performing cinematic rolling bass sweeps and sustained chord foundations, keep finger knuckles rounded and poised. For acoustic hygiene, coordinate pedaling with chord changes to maintain acoustic warmth. Recommended Exercise: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot. Score pointer: Keep the left-hand broken-chord accompaniment even and understated while projecting the vocal line clearly above the texture. Shape the chorus with a gradual cr.
