22 Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

This Advanced publication (conservatory diploma level (ABRSM/RCM Grade 8 or Associate)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address balancing complex polyphonic textures, negotiating rapid register shifts, and sustaining virtuosic momentum. Passages dominated by broken arpeggio figures and modern pulse chords benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, execute full pedal clears at dynamic changes to highlight intimate moments. Study Routine: practice rapid runs in diverse rhythmic groupings (dotted-eighth and sixteenth pairs) to eliminate finger lag. Score pointer: Focus on crisp rhythmic articulation and consistent eighth-note pulse in the accompaniment. Bring out the melody above the chordal texture while using light ped.

22, credited to Taylor Swift, occupies an established chapter within the popular pop sheet music repertoire. this 6-page transcription spans 120 measures, drawing from standard contemporary studio engravings. Rights records link the piece to ISWC `T-645.05E.B8-1` and bibliographic identifier `mbid-64505eb8-pianistforum`. Curatorial documentation highlights: Released in 2013 from the album Red, '22' was written by Taylor Swift, Max Martin, and Shellback. The song became an anthem celebrating youthful freedom and remains one of Swift's .

The piece operates in G Major, governed by a signature with a single sharp (F♯). This tonal center positions G as the primary acoustic anchor, while E Minor and the dominant D Major supply contrasting tonal colors. Tonal construction prioritizes diatonic primary chords, balancing C Major warmth against dominant D Major tension. Pianistically, the key produces a sunny tonal landscape where the single raised pitch F♯ creates clear melodic direction toward the tonic.

Operating within 4/4, this simple quadruple meter generates an authoritative quadruple framework where downbeat accents anchor the overarching phrase architecture. The benchmark tempo of ♩ = 104 BPM (Tempo di marcia) conveys a spirited with crisp finger articulation sensibility. During execution, channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

Performance Applications: In performance programming, 22 is well matched for community music performances and versatile studio accompaniment.

Transposition Guide: When adjusting the native tonality of G Major, accompanists can shift down a step to F Major for lower voice types or lift the melody into A Major for tenors and sopranos. Woodwinds read comfortably using D Major.
